phpMyAdmin won’t open, logs out or times out

  • phpMyAdmin keeps returning to the login screen
  • Imports stop or time out

Login loops or “token mismatch”

  • Clear cookies for the phpMyAdmin address, or use a private window.
  • Close other phpMyAdmin tabs — several open sessions can invalidate each other’s tokens.
  • Disable browser extensions that block cookies or scripts for that page.

Logs out while working

Sessions expire after inactivity. Save queries somewhere before long pauses.

Import stops or times out

phpMyAdmin imports run within PHP limits. Compress the file, allow interrupted imports to resume, or split it. Importing a database that’s too large for phpMyAdmin

“Access denied” when logging in

If phpMyAdmin asks for credentials, use a database user and password with privileges on the database you need, with the full prefixed name. Managing database users and privileges

Editing large tables is slow

Browse with a smaller page size, or run a targeted query with WHERE and LIMIT in the SQL tab.

Blank page

Try another browser, clear the cache, and check the status page. If it persists, open a ticket with the help desk with the time and your browser.
