Exactly what “free” means here

Is this managed or unmanaged hosting?
It is managed shared hosting: we maintain the server, the operating system, PHP, MySQL, the mail stack and DirectAdmin itself. You manage your own account through the panel. What you do not get is a one-to-one support desk for questions about your own site — that is where the community model comes in.
Where are the servers?
Montreal, Canada. Traxio is a UK-registered company, but the hardware is Canadian. For a UK audience this adds roughly 80–100ms of latency compared with a London datacentre — noticeable on a speed test, rarely noticeable in use, and largely mitigated by putting Cloudflare in front if it matters to you. Proxying through a CDN is fully supported and passes our automated domain checks — we verify that requests reach our servers, not what your A record says.
Can I host more than one website?
The plan is built around a single primary domain. Subdomains are unlimited, so a staging subdomain or a docs subdomain is fine. Multiple separate domains on one account are outside what £0.99 supports.
What are the actual resource limits?
5GB NVMe storage, 10GB bandwidth per month, and fair-use limits on CPU and memory typical of shared hosting. These are published rather than hidden in a terms document, and we would rather you check them against your needs before signing up.
Do you support Node.js, Python or Ruby?
No. This is a PHP and MySQL environment. If you need another runtime you want a VPS, not shared hosting.
Can I get a full backup of my account?
Yes, generated from DirectAdmin on demand and downloadable. It is in DirectAdmin’s standard format, which most other DirectAdmin hosts can restore directly. You should keep your own copies regardless of what any host tells you about their backups.
