Hosting questions
Is there a free plan?
Not a separate one. There isn’t a cut-down Traxio free tier: your first month is the normal Traxio hosting, free, and you keep the same account for £0.99 a month afterwards. Nothing needs moving or rebuilding when the free month ends. How starting free works
Is there more than one plan?
No. Traxio is one hosting service at one price. There are no tiers to compare — the free 30 days and the £0.99 service are the same product. If you ever need a little more, such as an extra email account or more disk space, you add just that as an add-on.
How much can I fit in 3GB?
More than most people expect. A typical WordPress site with a few hundred images uses well under 1GB. Email counts towards the 3GB too, so give mailboxes sensible quotas. What’s using my disk space?
Is 100GB of bandwidth a month enough?
For a normal site, comfortably: a typical 1.5MB page gives you tens of thousands of page views a month. It isn’t designed for video streaming or large file downloads.
Can I host more than one website?
Yes. One domain is included, with subdomains (such as shop.yourname.co.uk). Each extra domain is a £0.99 one-off add-on, and every site shares the account’s storage and bandwidth. More about this
How many email accounts and databases do I get?
One of each, plus one FTP account. Extra email accounts, databases and FTP accounts are £0.99 each, paid once, and stay for as long as your hosting does. All add-ons
Where are the servers?
In a data centre in Montreal, Canada, on Traxio’s DirectAdmin hosting platform. Every account is hosted there, so there’s nothing to choose. If you’d like static files served from nearer your visitors, Cloudflare’s free plan works with Traxio. Our hosting platform
Do I get root access or a VPS?
No. This is shared hosting: you get your own account with DirectAdmin, SSH and SFTP, but not root access to the server. That’s part of what keeps it simple and affordable.
