About GrayStyle
GrayStyle is a dark theme for Simple Machines Forum 2.1 built from shades of grey. Your boards sit on rounded mid-grey panels over a fine charcoal weave, the category bars are soft grey pills, and board names and links pick out in amber so they're easy to find.
Your forum's name is shown in the header as a centred, brushed-silver title. If you'd rather use a logo, set one under Admin > Current theme and it takes the title's place.
This release is rebuilt on SMF 2.1.7's own default theme. It ships only its page template and one stylesheet, and every other template comes from SMF itself, so SMF updates keep reaching your forum. The board icons and background are new artwork made for this version.
- Amber on grey Board names, links and the active menu tab stand out in amber against neutral greys.
- Your forum name as the title No image to edit: the header shows your forum name in a silver style, or your own logo if you set one.
- Light to maintain Only the page template and one stylesheet ship; everything else comes from SMF 2.1.7's default theme.
- Works on phones SMF 2.1's responsive layout and mobile menu work as standard.

Install it in a couple of minutes
You need admin access to your forum. Keep the .zip as it is: SMF installs it from the archive.
- Open Themes and Layout. In your forum go to Admin, then Configuration, then Themes and Layout, and open the Manage and Install tab.
- Install from the archive. Under the option to install a new theme from an archive, choose the GrayStyle .zip and upload it.
- Make it the default. Still on Manage and Install, set the overall forum default to GrayStyle and save.
