About Insidious II
Insidious II is the follow-up to Insidious, ported from SMF 2.0 to SMF 2.1. It keeps the original's look: a near-black page, rounded charcoal frames with a thin black edge, flat grey bars and one blue accent for new posts, the active menu tab and focus.
Your forum name is set in a gothic blackletter in brushed silver, and the font is bundled with the theme. The post editor gets a matching dark skin, so writing a post doesn't mean a bright white box. You can set your own logo under Admin > Current theme instead of the title.
Under the hood it's SMF 2.1.7's default theme with one stylesheet on top. Every colour is a named custom property in a single block, so recolouring it is a few edits. The board icons are new artwork made for this version.

Install it in a couple of minutes
You need admin access to your forum. Keep the .zip as it is: SMF installs it from the archive.
- Open Themes and Layout. In your forum go to Admin, then Configuration, then Themes and Layout, and open the Manage and Install tab.
- Install from the archive. Under the option to install a new theme from an archive, choose the Insidious II .zip and upload it.
- Make it the default. Still on Manage and Install, set the overall forum default to Insidious II and save.
