Traxio vs InfinityFree
InfinityFree is free for good, with generous headline numbers and no adverts. Traxio is free for 30 days and then £0.99 a month, and in return adds email on your domain, DirectAdmin, daily backups and no inactivity rules.
- No card to start
- 30 days free
- Then £0.99/month
- No adverts on your site
The short version
Where InfinityFree is the better choice
- It’s free for good: £0, not £11.88 a year
- More space (5GB), more databases and unlimited bandwidth
- Free subdomains, so you don’t need to buy a domain
- A built-in drag-and-drop site builder
Where Traxio is the better choice
- Email on your own domain, included
- DirectAdmin and a choice of PHP versions, cron jobs and SSH
- Daily offsite backups taken for you, as well as your own
- No suspension for quiet months, and no daily hit limits
The biggest difference first: InfinityFree costs nothing, ever, and Traxio costs £11.88 a year after the free first month. If your budget is genuinely zero, InfinityFree is a good free host. What the 99p buys is the things free plans usually leave out: email on your domain, a mainstream control panel, backups you don’t have to think about, and an account that isn’t suspended when your site has a quiet month.
