Invoices, payment methods, and managing your services.
Billing questions are one of the few areas handled directly by Traxio staff rather than the community, because they involve your account rather than your website. These articles cover updating a payment method and retrieving invoices.
Worth knowing about the timings: hosting is free for the first 30 days and no card details are required to start. If you continue, an invoice is issued and the account is suspended 7 days later if unpaid, then terminated after 14 days. You are emailed before each step and can download a full backup from DirectAdmin at any point beforehand. See the FAQ for the full picture.
Common questions
When exactly does billing start?
At the end of your 30-day free period, and only if you choose to continue. No card details are held during the free period, so nothing can be charged automatically and there is nothing to cancel if you decide not to proceed.
What happens if I miss a payment?
Measured from the invoice date: the account is suspended on day 7 (offline, but all data retained and you can still log in to pay) and terminated on day 14, at which point files, databases and email are permanently deleted. You are emailed before each step.
Will the price go up after the first year?
No. £0.99 per month is the ongoing renewal price, not an introductory rate. The industry pattern of a cheap first term followed by a much higher renewal is the practice we are most deliberately not copying.
