Free hosting without adverts

Traxio never puts adverts, pop-ups or its own branding on your website. Not during your free 30 days, and not afterwards. If you stay, it’s £0.99 a month.

  • First 30 days: £0
  • Then £0.99 a month if you continue
  • No card needed to start
  • Bring your own domain

In short: your website shows only what you put on it. Traxio adds no adverts, banners, pop-ups, trackers or “hosted by” links. Your first 30 days are free with no card. After that it’s £0.99 a month, and that small payment is how Traxio pays its bills instead of using adverts.

Why many free hosts show adverts

Running a web server costs money every month. A free host has to pay for it somehow. The usual ways are:

  • Adverts on your pages, which the host places and the host gets paid for.
  • A banner or “hosted by” link that promotes the host to your visitors.
  • Tight limits that encourage you to upgrade to a paid plan.
  • A free address on the host’s own domain, such as yoursite.freehost.com, which keeps your visitors tied to them.

None of this is wrong. It’s simply the price of “free”. The question is whether that price suits your website.

Why adverts on your site can matter

For your visitors

  • Slower pages. Advert scripts often add extra downloads to every page.
  • Distractions. A banner or pop-up can pull people away from what you want them to read.
  • Less trust. Adverts you didn’t choose can make a business or club look less professional.

For you

  • No control. You don’t pick the adverts, so one might promote a competitor or something you don’t like.
  • No income. The money from the adverts goes to the host, not to you.
  • Harder to remove later. Removing them usually means paying for an upgrade or moving your site.

What Traxio puts on your website

Nothing. Your pages are exactly what you upload or build. Specifically:

If you want adverts on your own site, for example to earn money from a blog, you can add them yourself. You choose them and you keep what they earn.

Free hosts that don’t add adverts

To be fair: not every free host adds adverts. When we checked in October 2026, these free plans did not put adverts on your pages:

  • InfinityFree and ByetHost: free PHP hosting with no end date and no adverts on your site, with their own limits. Traxio vs InfinityFree · Traxio vs ByetHost
  • GitHub Pages, Netlify and Cloudflare Pages: free for static HTML websites, if you’re comfortable with Git. Free HTML hosting

Some popular free services do show adverts on their free plans, including WordPress.com and free forum services such as Forumotion and Create A Forum. Each one offers a paid plan to remove them. Traxio vs WordPress.com · Free forum platforms compared

Free plans change, so always check the provider’s own website before you decide.

How to check whether a host adds adverts

Before you sign up anywhere, look for:

  1. The words “ad-free” or “no forced ads” on the free plan’s page, not just on paid plans.
  2. The terms of service. Search them for “advertising”, “banner” or “footer link”.
  3. A real site hosted there. Visit one and look at the top, bottom and corners of the page.
  4. The price of removing adverts. If there’s a paid “ad-free” plan, the free plan almost certainly shows adverts.
