In System Info & Files then File Manager, select the file and choose Download.
A folder or whole site
The File Manager downloads files, not folders, so compress first:
- Select the folder (e.g.
public_html). - Choose Compress and create a zip or tar.gz archive.
- Download the archive.
- Delete the archive from the server afterwards.
With SFTP
Connect with FileZilla and drag the folder from the right panel to the left. Connecting with FileZilla (FTP and SFTP) It’s slower for thousands of small files but handles interruptions well.

Open the archive on your computer and check the files you expect are there and not zero bytes.
