Steps
Step 1: Update and back up at the old host
Update everything on the old site, then back it up.
Step 2: Export the database
In the old host’s phpMyAdmin, export the WordPress database, gzipped. How to export a database (backup with phpMyAdmin)
Step 3: Download the files
Archive and download the whole WordPress folder, including
wp-contentandwp-config.php.Step 4: Create a database on Traxio

Step 5: Import
Select the new database in phpMyAdmin and import. How to import a database with phpMyAdmin
Step 6: Upload the files
Upload the archive to
public_htmland extract. Remove any placeholderindex.html.Step 7: Edit wp-config.php
Set
DB_NAME,DB_USER,DB_PASSWORDto the new values andDB_HOSTtolocalhost. Check$table_prefixmatches the imported tables.Step 8: Preview before switching
Use the hosts file and test front end and admin. Re-save Settings → Permalinks. Previewing your site on Traxio before changing DNS
Step 9: Switch DNS

Step 10: Tidy up
Clear caches, re-test forms, and set up SMTP. Make WordPress emails arrive (SMTP setup)
Check it worked
The site loads over HTTPS from Traxio, you can log in, inner pages work, and forms deliver email.
