Keeping your own backups is your responsibility: Traxio’s daily offsite backups are a courtesy, not a guarantee. This tutorial produces a verified backup stored somewhere other than your hosting. Does Traxio back up my website?
Steps
Step 1: Check disk space
The backup needs room alongside your data. If you’re near your 3GB, clear space first. What’s using my disk space? How to free it up
Step 2: Create the backup
Open System Info & Files then Create/Restore Backups, choose to create a backup, select everything and start it. How to create and download a full account backup
Step 3: Wait for the notification
DirectAdmin notifies you when it’s complete.
Step 4: Download it
In System Info & Files then File Manager, open the
backupsfolder and download the newest archive — or use SFTP for large files.Step 5: Verify the contents
Open the archive on your computer and check it includes your domain’s files and database dumps.
Step 6: Store it with a date
Rename or file it with today’s date in cloud storage or an external drive.
Step 7: Delete it from the server
Remove the archive from
backupsto free space.
Check it worked
A dated backup archive sits off the server, you’ve looked inside it, and it’s no longer using space in your account.
