Using Gmail with your domain email

The options for reading and sending your Traxio email through Gmail now that Gmail on the web no longer fetches mail from other accounts.

Many people want their domain email in Gmail. What works changed in 2026, so older guides you find online may no longer apply.

What no longer works

Google has removed Check mail from other accounts (POP fetching) and Gmailify from Gmail on the web. Gmail on a computer no longer pulls messages in from other mailboxes automatically. Messages imported before the change stay in Gmail.

The Gmail app on Android and iPhone can add your Traxio mailbox directly using IMAP. Mail stays in your Traxio mailbox, in sync with webmail and other devices, and you use the Gmail app to read and send it. How to set up your email on Android

This is the most reliable option: your email still sends from your own server, so SPF and DKIM pass.

Option 2: forward to Gmail

Create a forwarder from your address to your Gmail address. How to set up email forwarding

  • New mail appears in Gmail on every device.
  • Forwarded spam can affect how Gmail treats mail from your server, so keep the address off public web pages.
  • Replies sent from Gmail come from your Gmail address unless you also set up “Send mail as”.

Sending as your domain address from Gmail

In Gmail on the web, Settings → Accounts and Import → Send mail as lets you add your domain address and send through Traxio’s SMTP server:

  • SMTP server: mail.yourdomain.co.uk
  • Port: 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS)
  • Username: your full address, and the mailbox password

Sending through Traxio’s server keeps authentication intact. Using Gmail’s own servers for your domain address makes SPF fail.

Option 3: Google Workspace

If you want mail to live entirely in Gmail with your domain, Google Workspace hosts your domain’s email directly. Using Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 email with Traxio hosting
