Short answer
Upload the zip through the File Manager, then use its extract option to unpack it in place. Uploading one archive and extracting it is much quicker than uploading the same files one by one.
Check where the files land afterwards. Archives often contain a wrapping folder, which leaves your site at public_html/mysite/ instead of public_html/ — move the contents up a level if so.
