Short answer
The TLD is the last part of a domain name —
.com, .co.uk, .org, .dev. It is the top-level domain, and which one you choose affects price and availability but makes no technical difference to how the site works.This is a general web-hosting explanation, not specific to Traxio.
Some TLDs have registration rules (.ac.uk is restricted to institutions, for example) and some are noticeably more expensive to renew than to register. Check the renewal price before committing to an unusual one.
